Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Lines Insurance Account Manager to join our growing team, focusing on serving community associations in the Chicago area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for client service and experience in commercial insurance, specifically within the community association sector. The ideal candidate will have an active Property & Casualty license or be willing to obtain one within three months. While this role is based in Chicago, remote work options are available.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and support a book of business focused on community association clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met with exceptional service.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with current clients, identifying opportunities to improve coverage and retention.
Provide expert guidance to clients on insurance policies, coverage options, and risk management strategies.
Collaborate with producers and underwriters to design customized insurance solutions for community associations.
Prepare and deliver proposals, certificates of insurance, and policy renewals.
Handle client inquiries, policy changes, and claims in a timely and professional manner.
Assist clients in navigating the insurance process and understanding their policy details.
Maintain accurate client records in the agency management system.
Stay up to date with changes in insurance regulations and community association trends.
Work to continuously improve client satisfaction and retention through proactive communication and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
Active Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
Previous experience in commercial insurance and working with community associations is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of insurance products, risk management, and the unique needs of community associations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with insurance agency management systems.
Preferred:
Experience working specifically with community associations or condominium associations.
Bilingual skills (Spanish, a plus).
Prior experience working remotely in an insurance or client-facing role.
