Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Vice President of Association Insurance to lead our insurance procurement and management team. This pivotal role will involve overseeing the acquisition and administration of insurance policies specifically tailored for community association buildings under our management. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the insurance market, particularly in the realm of condominium and homeowner's associations, and will be adept at fostering relationships with insurance underwriters to ensure optimal coverage for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team responsible for procuring and administering insurance policies for community associations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance underwriters, negotiating terms and coverage that best serve the needs of our clients.
- Oversee the assessment of insurance needs for community association buildings, providing expert guidance on policy options and risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align insurance offerings with the broader goals and services of The Cam Collective.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management, outlining insurance performance metrics, risks, and opportunities for enhancement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPCU, ARM) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, specifically working with an insurance license in Illinois, with a strong focus on condominium and homeowner's associations.
- Proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams within the insurance sector.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to cultivate productive relationships with insurance underwriters and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex insurance concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Compensation:
Base salary: $100,000 - $125,000
Bonus Compensation: TBD based on performance
