Salary: $85,000 - 95,000

Travel Required: This role requires quarterly travel to Baguio, Philippines

Position Summary

The Controller is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial operations for Onnyt Global Workforce. Responsibilities will include day-to-day accounting, reporting, internal controls, and compliance. The Controller ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and supports strategic decision-making through insightful analysis and adherence to regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities

Management & Leadership

  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies, procedures, and an operational calendar
  • Oversee all electronic banking functions and ensure secure, efficient workflows
  • Manage outsourced accounting functions and service providers
  • Supervise the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate completion of responsibilities
  • Implement internal controls and a system of checks and balances, including cross-training of staff
  • Mentor and support the growth and development of junior accounting personnel

Operational Accounting

  • Ensure timely processing of accounts payable
  • Oversee accounts receivable processes including invoicing, contracted service payments and delinquencies
  • Perform and review monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Ensure timely and accurate debt service payments
  • Maintain the integrity of the chart of accounts and general ledger
  • Oversee digital recordkeeping and ensure maintenance of an orderly electronic filing system
  • Assist company President with the development of corporate budgets
  • Support external tax filings and audit preparation in collaboration with auditors

Financial Reporting & Systems

  • Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial statements to the executive team and clients
  • Analyze budget-to-actual variances and communicate significant deviations to management
  • Maintain and enhance accounting software and reporting tools as necessary
  • Provide financial documentation and reports in support of audits and compliance reviews

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software and electronic banking systems (experience with industry-specific tools is a plus)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring staff
  • Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills
  • High attention to detail, organization, and process improvement mindset
