The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall management of the onsite community. This includes overseeing maintenance, vendor coordination, resident relations, compliance with community standards, and working closely with the HOA Board and management company to ensure the community runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, vendors, and the HOA Board.
- Enforce community rules and deed restrictions in a fair and consistent manner.
- Coordinate and supervise onsite staff and third-party vendors (e.g., landscapers, security, janitorial).
- Monitor property conditions and schedule routine maintenance and repairs.
- Prepare for and attend board meetings; assist in creating agendas and board packets.
- Assist in managing the community’s budget and providing input on financial planning.
- Respond promptly to resident concerns and service requests.
- Maintain records, reports, and community documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all association governing documents, state laws, and contractual obligations.
- Participate in community events and foster positive relationships with residents.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in HOA, property, or community management (onsite experience preferred).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (e.g., CINC, TOPS, or equivalent).
- CMCA or other industry certifications preferred but not required.
- Must be professional, detail-oriented, and customer-service driven.
Work Environment:
- Full-time onsite role, primarily in an office setting within the community.
- Some evening or weekend availability may be required for meetings or events.
